About Me

I’m Roger Smith, a software developer and rocketry hobbyist living in Central Florida.

In the mid to late 1980s, I wrote several articles for computer magazines including a six-part tutorial on writing arcade games for the TRS-80 Model I/III/4 that appeared in 80 Micro magazine.

I’ve developed software for analyzing missile test data, simulating military operations, modelling sensor systems, and shooting bugs fron outer space.

My name and address once appeared in a book of celebrity mail addresses.

I’ve touched Matt Groening’s shoulder, shook hands with Buzz Aldrin, and propelled a six-foot tall furry spider hundreds of feet in the air using a high-power rocket motor.

I created a web site for fans of Harry Nilsson and ended up meeting many other fans of Nilsson as well as people who worked with and knew Harry. I was fortunate to have befriended Harry’s son Zak.
